Time tracking for Windsurf
Windsurf runs the same Inlinr extension as VS Code, installed from Open VSX. Beats are labelled as Windsurf, so its hours are never mixed with VS Code's.
Get it on Open VSXSet it up
- 1

- 2
From the command palette, run this, then open the link and approve with GitHub:

Keep coding. The first beats reach your dashboard within a minute or two.
What gets recorded
- Time per project, branch, language and file, from editor activity
- Lines added and deleted, and how many an assistant inserted
- Which assistant made an edit, only when a generated insert was seen
- The editor and its version, so Cursor and Windsurf are counted apart from VS Code
Good to know
- · Windsurf does not tell extensions its own version, so the version shown is the VS Code build Windsurf is based on.
Never file contents, prompts or replies. The full list of what is sent · What “percent written by AI” can and cannot tell you
